What are weft hair extensions?

Machine Weft

Machine Weft is our classic option. It has a structured seam and is available in a wide range of lengths and weights, making it a reliable choice for many volume and length transformations.

Signature Genius Weft

Signature Genius Weft has a finer, more flexible seam that is designed to sit beautifully close to the head. It offers a lightweight, refined finish and may appeal to clients who prefer a flatter-feeling weft.

One is not automatically better than the other. Your stylist will assess your natural hair, discuss the result you want and explain the feel, finish and price of each option before making a recommendation.

How much hair will I need?

The amount of extension hair you need depends on your natural density, current length and desired result. As a general guide:

50g / one row: targeted fullness or a subtle volume boost
100g / two rows: more noticeable volume and some added length
150g / three rows: a fuller length and volume transformation
200g / up to three rows: maximum fullness or the extra hair needed to blend naturally with denser or shorter hair

Our weft hair is ordered specifically for you following your consultation. This means installation is booked for a later date and is not available on the day of your consultation.

Will weft extensions damage my hair?

Any extension method can place unnecessary strain on the natural hair if the wrong weight is installed, the placement is unsuitable, maintenance appointments are delayed or aftercare is poor.

Careful assessment, professional installation and regular maintenance are essential. We will only recommend a weft plan that we believe is appropriate for your natural hair, and we will show you how to care for both your extensions and your own hair at home.

How often will I need maintenance?

As your natural hair grows, your weft rows gradually move further away from the scalp and need to be professionally moved up. Your stylist will recommend a maintenance schedule based on your hair growth, installation and home care.

It is important not to stretch out your appointments beyond the recommended timeframe. Regular maintenance keeps your extensions sitting neatly and helps avoid preventable tangling or tension on your natural hair.

How long does installation take?

Your initial appointment includes installation, washing, blow-drying, cutting and blending. As a guide:

One row: approximately 1.5 hours
Two rows: approximately 2 hours
Three rows: approximately 2.5 hours

Appointment times may vary depending on your natural hair and the finished look being created.

Caring for your weft extensions at home

The right home care will help keep your extensions smooth, manageable and beautiful between salon visits. We recommend:

Using extension-safe shampoo and conditioner
Brushing gently with a suitable extension brush
Supporting the hair near the weft while brushing
Keeping conditioner, masks and oils away from the attachment area
Drying the weft area thoroughly after washing
